Cleveland Indian reliever Juan Lara was in a car accident this weekend. His family left the accident undamaged but unfortuantely for him he was taken off on a stretcher. He didn't feel any pain and regained consciousness in the hospital the same night as the accident. His family was warned about his misfortunes but he was unaware until told by his wife the following night.
Lara recieved spinal damage and severe brain trauma. He will be held in the hospital for further testing for several weeks. The doctors are unsure still if there is any type of paralysis or unaware injuries that can cause the ball players life. Even worse is the fact that the injury was caused by Lara and the other motorist and passanger were both killed in the accident. His conditions are unstable still as of now and will remain in critical condition for furthing testing.

Ricky Williams: Comeback Hero Or A Joke?

Ricky Williams who was banned from football in the 2004 season for the overuse of drugs returned to the Dolphin line up last night when the Dolphins lost their star Ronnie Brown. Williams was in rehab and went back into training for the past 3 years and luckily enough recieved the call to come back and play yet again in the NFL.
Williams got into the game after starting runningback Antonio Chatman was injured on a play. On only the sixth play Ricky Williams carried the ball, he fumbled after a big hit by a Steelers defensive end and then got stepped on as well. He suffered a torn chest injury and is out for the next couple of games. Only one play in the big leagues and he was hurt. The real question is should he be taken seriously? or was this just done for publicity for the Dolphin organization?

Sean Taylor Dead At The Age Of 24

On Tuesday, November 27, Sean Taylor was announced dead at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Last night, an intruder burst into the superstars home in Miami, Florida. Taylor was fired at twice and hit once in his leg. Unfortunately, the bullet pierced Taylor's artery causing a severe loss of blood to the Redskins' safety. During all this, Taylor's one year old daughter was upstairs in her crib and unaware that her father was being robbed.

Not only a week ago, someone broke into Taylors house and went through all of his drawers and before leaving left a knife on his bed. This was a sign of the future coming to Taylor. Before playing pro football, teammate Clinton Portis said "Sean was mixed with the wrong group of people until being put on our team in his early 20's."

Taylor who was having a MVP season, was pronounced to the pro-bowl this year as well. He was the leader of interceptions and blocked passes on a very good Washington defensive team. His agent pledged to visit the family once a month with some type of empathy being sent from the Redskins team to his family.

The Future Of Alex Rodriguez Lies In The Decision Of Angels Owner...

It seems to be that the only team the wants to sign future hall of famer Alex Rodriguez is the Los Angeles Angels. A-Rod's manager met with the Angels staff for a meet-and-greet yesterday. The 3-time AL MVP is looking to reach a new all-time high deal topping his old one with the Texas Rangers.
To even get a chance to meet with A-Rod, you must be willing to match his $350 million dollar, 10 year contract. Personally, I believe any team willing to pay this is just plain crazy. This deal is too long and too much to risk on a player. Yes, he is the best player in baseball as of now, but there are other players which can be obtained for much cheaper. Unfortunately, if the Angels decide not to accept A-Rod and the Mets don't offer him a deal as well, A-Rod might not be able to land a deal with a team this season.
