Where does Southern Florida Stand In The BCS Standings After Thier Loss To Rutgers?

Southern Florida went into New Jersey to take on Rutgers who is almost unbeatable at home. Southern Florida who entered the game holdin other offenses to a high of 106 yards per game, allowed Ray Rice (possible MVP) to run all over them. He had 189 yrds and two touchdowns. Another main factor in their loss was how productive Rutgers offensive line was. They allowed only one sack when Southern Florida was averaging about 11 a game.
They ran the ball on us pretty good," cornerback Trae Williams said. "They moved the ball up and down the field. We just weren't able to stop them tonight." Quarterback Mike Teel only completed 11 of 39 attempts but made them count. He had two touchdown throws and no interceptions. It just seemed like Rutgers always had the answer to what was thrown at them.
With this loss, Southern Florida dropped out of the top 10 in the BCS standings and their cinderella story came to an end. Rutgers became ranked in the top 15 with this win and hope to continue moving up in the standards. What comes next for Southern Florida? That is a question waiting to be answered.

Wildfires Force Chargers Not To Practice

During one of the San Diego Chargers practices, wildfires were spread throughout the country of San Diego. Approximately fourty Chargers were asked to leave the practice facility and were listed under the evacuees. Due to the unfortunate circumstances, the team will be forced to practice out in Arizona for the next week or two.
"It was so windy and so ashy and so smelly about midnight that we went ahead and got out of there then," said Rivers, the father of three young girls. He said he heard from Tomlinson and tight end Antonio Gates at about 4:30 a.m. that they were leaving their homes. Wildfires fanned by fierce desert winds forced the evacuations of some 250,000 people in the county.
The team has a game on Sunday and since no one in any of their families were injured in any type of way, they must play their game Sunday against the Houston Texans. They are trying to talk to the owner of the Arizona Cardinals so they may switch bye weeks but Arizona won't agree to it. The Chargers are hosting the Texans this weekend and can't decide where they will play.

Joe Girardi spoke with George Steinbrenner and they quickly found common ground: Northwestern football. "I talked to him about their 5-3 record and that they were one game from bowl eligibility and that was big for Northwestern, so we had some laughs about that," Girardi said.

Memoir...Memory

Memories can be defined in many ways. There are also many different types of memories. There are the memories in which are made to be forgotten and there are memories in which are just unforgettable. At any given moment, a memory can occur from the slightest little thing. For instance, an expression, a saying, a song or even simply just the words being spoken.
Although some memories that are sad can cause a person to become depressed and unhappy, there are also the more joyful and exciting memories which can keep a person excited for days and more. A memory can also be used to forget about another thing. You can reminisce on certain things from the past to put behind a memory that you want to forget about.

Steroids..... still a problem in professional sports?

Anabolic steroids have been one of the biggest problems in professional sports for the past ten years. They have been used to enhance performance and to bulk up. They are most commonly used in football and baseball players.
The use of steroids is illegal in all of professional sports. Unfortunately, players still take them and it is effecting the sport. Commissioners have not come up with an answer yet, but the punishment is usually suspension and then if used repeatedly, expulsion from the sport. Many famous sport figures have been accused of using steriods. Athletes such as Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Jose Castillo and so on.
According to ESPN, the use of steroids should be handled harshly because it is unfair to the non-users. It allows performances to be enhanced and strength to be abnormal. Its almost like an advantage said ESPN announcer Scott Van Pelt. The number of users throughout the last couple of years in sports has decreased dramatically and should soon be extinct.

New York Mets.... a choke?

On Sunday, the New York Mets played against the Florida Marlins. They needed a win and a Phillies lost to clinch a playoff spot. The Mets blew the biggest playoff lead in MLB history. They had a seven game lead over Philadelphia with only seventeen games remaining. The Mets entered the game sunday playing the Marlins in whom they have beat in all of their meetings with them.
The Mets started their ace Tom Glavine, who has been their "go-to" pitcher the last five years. He has had much success and a very low failure rate with the Mets. Glavine retired the first batter and seemed to be his way to a successful start. He then allowed seven unanswered runs and was taken out of the game before the first inning was over. Another blow to the Mets was the injury to first baseman Carlos Delgado. He broke his hand and the Mets suffered significantly.
The Mets had a chance to hold their lead in the NL East but blew it in the last seventeen games. They had five wins and twelve losses. Everyone was calling the mets a "choke" and in my opinion, I believe they are one. Unfortunately, Met fans will just have to wait until next season.
